Openwork is seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead for a manufacturing facility in Denton, TX. This opportunity is ideal for a proven team leader with strong manufacturing, assembly, and forklift experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and continue growing in a leadership role.
The facility manufactures reels for wire, cable, and fiber optics, along with custom-molded plastic parts, providing a hands-on production environment with a variety of manufacturing processes.
Position at a Glance
Location: Denton, TX
Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Growth Potential: Opportunity to earn up to $27.00 per hour upon permanent hire
Forklift Experience: Required

Forklift Experience: Required
Your Day-to-Day:
- Lead and support daily reel assembly and manufacturing operations.
- Support the production of reels used for wire, cable, and fiber optics.
- Provide direction, guidance, and hands-on training to team members.
- Coordinate workflow with supervisors to keep production on schedule.
- Help ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and finished products.
- Help identify and resolve day-to-day production issues.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production area.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or related production experience required.
- 2+ years of strong team lead, leadership, or supervisory experience required.
- Forklift operating experience required.
- Sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Woodworking, reel manufacturing, or plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead, train, motivate, and provide direction to team members.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
- Motivated to grow and take on additional leadership responsibilities.
