Openwork is partnering with Harris County to hire Bilingual Voter Registration Clerks to support the Voter Registration Division. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping others while playing an important role in ensuring accurate voter registration services for the community.
We are seeking candidates who are fluent in English and one of the following languages: Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Process voter registration applications, updates, and cancellations.
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with election guidelines.
- Enter and maintain voter information in secure databases.
- Assist voters by phone, email, mail, and in person.
- Provide professional, courteous, and nonpartisan customer service.
- Scan, organize, and maintain confidential records.
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
- Follow all county policies and confidentiality requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Typing speed of 35 words per minute or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM as needed.

Assignment Details:
This is a temporary full-time assignment expected to begin by the end of July. During peak election periods, extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
