Openwork is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in CNC milling to join a high-quality manufacturing operation in Houston. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and related equipment
- Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-code as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Select tooling and adjust machine settings for optimal performance
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools
- Maintain quality standards and ensure accurate production output
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition
- Support team production goals while maintaining a safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of CNC machining experience required
- Strong CNC milling experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset
Work Environment:
- Climate-controlled manufacturing facility
- Exposure to regulated materials requiring strict safety compliance
- Respirator use required; clean-shaven policy applies
- End-of-shift hygiene procedures required
