Diesel Mechanic – Macon, GA | $19.00+/hr

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Macon, GA. In this hands-on, full-time role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered machinery and heavy equipment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking for a consistent Monday–Friday schedule — and you do not need to provide your own tools!

In a Diesel Mechanic Job, You'll Be Responsible For:

Repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out parts.
Operating and inspecting machines and heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Testing mechanical products and equipment after repairs or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and completing necessary repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

What You'll Need:

2–4 years of diesel mechanic or related mechanical experience.
Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment or machinery.
Ability to diagnose mechanical defects and troubleshoot equipment.
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment.
Your own tools are NOT required!

Perks:

$19.00+/hr, based on experience.
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM until finish, typically 3:00–4:00 PM.
No personal tools required.
