Position Summary:
The Grade Off Associate is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and grading used tires according to established quality standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring tires are properly categorized for recycling, processing, resale, or disposal while maintaining a safe, productive, and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect used tires for damage, tread depth, and overall condition.
Sort tires by size, type, quality, and designated processing category.
Identify and remove debris or tires that do not meet processing standards.
Maintain production and quality goals in a fast-paced environment.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving tires throughout the facility.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis throughout the shift.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, or tire industry experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor work environment.
Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, dirt, machinery, and industrial noise.
Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety procedures.

Dress Code & Safety Requirements:

Steel-toe boots are required and must be worn at all times.
Long pants are required; no shorts, leggings, sweatpants, or athletic wear.
Shirts must have sleeves; no tank tops or cut-off shirts.
Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE must be worn as required by company policy.
No loose-fitting clothing that could become caught in machinery.
Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back.
No open-toed shoes, Crocs, sandals, slides, or canvas shoes.
Jewelry should be kept to a minimum for safety purposes.
Employees must maintain a professional appearance and comply with all facility safety guidelines.

Additional Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions as needed.
