Openwork is hiring an experienced HVAC Electrical Wiring Assembler for an OEM HVAC manufacturing company in Stafford, TX. This hands-on role focuses on assembling, wiring, and testing electrical systems and controls used in commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

Position at a Glance

Location: Stafford, TX 77477
Pay: $15.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
Overtime: Saturdays | 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, based on company needs
Employment Type: Full-Time

What You'll Be Doing:

Install and wire electrical components in HVAC equipment.
Build and wire control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures.
Install relays, transformers, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, sensors, control boards, PLCs, and VFDs.
Route, label, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables.
Read schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
Perform visual inspections, continuity checks, and basic electrical testing.
Identify wiring or component issues and assist with troubleshooting.
Complete required production and inspection documentation.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Previous electrical assembly experience.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Basic knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems.
Experience with wire preparation, crimping, and electrical terminations.
Ability to use multimeters and continuity testers.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and production standards.
Excellent attendance and reliability.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred Experience:

Commercial HVAC equipment wiring.
HVAC electrical controls.
Electrical control panel assembly.
PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automated controls.
Electrical troubleshooting.
NEC or industrial electrical practices.
Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience.

Tools & Equipment:

Experience may include wire strippers, crimping tools, torque tools, multimeters, continuity testers, cordless drills, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment.

Physical & Safety Requirements:

Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements.
Distinguish wire colors and read small labels.
Work in varying temperatures and industrial noise.
Follow PPE, electrical safety, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
