HVAC Electrical Assembly & Manufacturing
Openwork is hiring an experienced HVAC Electrical Wiring Assembler for an established HVAC manufacturing company in Stafford, TX 77477.
This hands-on position focuses on assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components and control systems used in commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of electrical assembly, electrical wiring, or related experience, the ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and strong attention to detail. Experience with HVAC controls, control panels, PLCs, and VFDs is a plus.
Position Details:
- Location: Stafford, TX 77477.
- Pay: $15–$22/hr, based on experience | Weekly Pay.
- Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM.
- Overtime: Saturdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, as needed.
- Employment: Full-Time.
- Shift: 1st Shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and wire electrical components for HVAC equipment.
- Build and wire control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures.
- Install relays, transformers, circuit breakers, sensors, and control boards.
- Work with electrical controls, including PLCs and VFDs.
- Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Cut, strip, crimp, label, and connect electrical wires.
- Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Perform basic electrical testing and quality inspections.
- Identify wiring issues and assist with troubleshooting.
- Complete production paperwork and maintain a safe work area.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of electrical assembly, electrical wiring, or related experience.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems.
- Experience with wire preparation, crimping, and electrical connections.
- Ability to use multimeters and basic electrical testing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow work instructions and production standards.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Commercial or industrial HVAC electrical wiring.
- Electrical control panel assembly.
- HVAC electrical controls and components.
- PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automated control systems.
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Industrial electrical practices and NEC guidelines.
- Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Hands-on HVAC manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Repetitive electrical assembly and wiring tasks.
- Ability to distinguish wire colors and read small labels.
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment and varying temperatures.
- Follow all electrical safety, PPE, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
