Openwork is seeking an experienced Industrial Saw Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Houston. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with machinery, operating forklifts, and producing high-quality finished products in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial saw equipment safely and efficiently.
- Review production schedules and verify material requirements.
- Use forklifts to move materials and position pallets for cutting.
- Measure, mark, and cut materials to required specifications.
- Verify dimensions, piece counts, and quality of finished products.
- Maximize material utilization while minimizing waste.
- Complete production logs and required documentation.
- Separate, sort, and dispose of scrap materials properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of industrial saw, machine operator, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating industrial saws or similar machinery preferred.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to wear a respirator and follow all PPE requirements.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Important Safety Requirements:
- Work involves lead-based materials.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
- Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit.
- Daily showering after shifts is required.
- Periodic blood testing is required as part of safety compliance.
