Openwork is hiring an experienced Machine Operator (Shop Worker) for a leading manufacturing company in Northeast Houston. If you have experience operating industrial equipment and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that values safety, teamwork, and quality.
What You'll Do:
- Operate and monitor heavy industrial production equipment.
- Set up machines according to production specifications.
- Operate a 15-foot press and assist with a 500-ton production machine.
- Read work orders, blueprints, and production instructions.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial machine operating experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and move materials throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
