Openwork is hiring a Machine Shop Helper / Packaging to support daily operations in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values consistency, and takes pride in maintaining quality and safety standards.
Openwork is hiring a Machine Shop Helper / Packaging to support daily operations in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values consistency, and takes pride in maintaining quality and safety standards.
You will play a key role in preparing materials, supporting machinists, and ensuring products are packaged and ready for shipment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and assemble wooden pallets for finished goods.
- Package materials according to company and quality standards.
- Assist machinists and shop team with general production tasks.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move and stage materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow ISO procedures and company quality guidelines.
- Adhere to all PPE and lead safety requirements, including end-of-shift protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- Experience handling large or heavy materials preferred.
- Carpentry or pallet-building experience is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety standards.
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
