Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled Machinist B (Manual) job in Spartanburg, SC. In this hands-on, precision-driven role, you will be responsible for machining high-quality parts using manual equipment, reading blueprints, and contributing to a team that takes pride in craftsmanship and zero-defect production. In a Machinist B (Manual) job you'll be responsible for:
- Operating horizontal and vertical milling machines, lathes, radial manual machines, drill taps, key seaters, and band saws
- Performing quality checks on parts produced to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings using precision measuring devices
- Operating overhead crane and/or forklift as needed
- Following all safety rules and maintaining a clean work area
What you'll need:
- 3–5 years of experience in a machine shop using manual machines
- Ability to set up and operate multiple machines including horizontal and vertical milling machines
- Experience with crane and forklift operations
- Ability to perform pattern and hole layouts for structural steel and/or fabricated parts
- High School diploma or equivalent (Machine Tool Technology degree a plus)

Schedule: 2nd (3rd) shift 5:00 pm - 5:30 am Monday - Thursday
