Openwork is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler for a direct-hire opportunity with a manufacturing operation in Oklahoma City. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building mechanical equipment, working from blueprints, using hand and power tools, and seeing a project through from assembly to final testing.

Position at a Glance:
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73179.
- Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- Overtime: As needed based on business needs.
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire.
What You'll Build & Work On:
- Assemble, rebuild, and align mechanical components and equipment.
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints, specifications, and job travelers.
- Inspect, operate, and test completed assemblies for proper function and quality.
- Set, measure, and verify component and part clearances.
- Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts and assemblies.
- Assemble and properly align gears within gearboxes.
- Install piping, fixtures, wiring, and electrical components using appropriate tools.
- Use hand and power tools to fit, trim, clean, and finish parts.
- Maintain and lubricate mechanical parts and components.
- Position and move components manually or with hoists.
- Verify completed assemblies meet blueprint, quality, and customer specifications.
- Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- 2–3 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machines, tools, and basic maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Hands-on experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to inspect and test completed products.
- Strong attention to measurements, fit, alignment, and overall quality.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
- Strong safety awareness and dependable work habits.
- Flexibility to work overtime based on business needs.
Your Work Environment: This is an active, hands-on industrial manufacturing position.
- Non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Industrial noise levels requiring participation in a hearing conservation program.
- Ability to safely lift 25–50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and remain active throughout the scheduled shift.
- Regular use of tools, mechanical components, and industrial equipment.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.
