Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Diagnose machine issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
- Inspect machinery for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Ensure equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements.
- Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and parts documentation.
- Organize and monitor inventory of maintenance tools and replacement parts.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or improvements when needed.
- Train production employees on basic equipment troubleshooting and safe operation.
- Work closely with supervisors and operators to support production goals.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for specialized repairs or replacement parts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational maintenance training preferred.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience required.
- Sheet metal fabrication environment experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read machinery manuals, schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to lift equipment and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment.
- Maintenance or safety certifications are a plus.
