In a Sit-Down Forklift Operator job you’ll be responsible for:
- Receiving Operations: Unloading, verifying, and organized staging of chemical and packaging material shipments.
- Documentation: Filling out accurate receiving logs and processing minor paperwork to hand off to the supervisor.
- Internal Supply Line: Promptly supplying chemicals to the presetting department and packaging components to the pack-out team to keep production lines humming.
- Outbound Logistics: Safely loading finished goods onto trucks for outbound shipments, ensuring loads are secure and correct.
- Safety & Maintenance: Conducting daily forklift inspections and maintaining a clean, orderly warehouse environment.
What you’ll need:
- Experience: A valid forklift certification and a minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (chemical handling experience is a major plus!).
- Skills: Strong attention to detail for filling out receiving logs and paperwork accurately.
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably mount/dismount the forklift throughout the shift.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to strict safety protocols.
