Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and routine procedures.
- Provide daily care including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals.
- Safely handle and restrain animals during exams and diagnostics.
- Support medication administration and basic testing procedures.
- Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized treatment areas.
- Document patient care information and observations accurately.
- Assist pet owners with general animal care guidance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1+ year of animal care, veterinary, or shelter experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
- Comfortable working around animals in a shelter or clinic setting.
Work Environment:
- Active clinic and animal shelter environment.
- Exposure to noise, animals, and changing conditions.
- Physically active role requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
