Now Hiring: Accounting Clerk - Day Shift

Location: North Houston Area
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience) | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Overview:
Openwork is partnering with a growing organization to hire a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role supports both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and plays a key role in maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices and enter bills accurately into accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred).
Manage vendor communications, statements, and payment processing.
Print and distribute checks and monitor recurring payments.
Assist with collections and accounts receivable follow-up.
Support document management including scanning, filing, and organizing records.
Research and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
Provide general administrative and clerical support.

Qualifications:

Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of accounting, AP/AR, or related experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment:

Professional office setting.
Primarily sedentary role with extended computer use.
Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
