Maintenance Multi-Craft Mechanic

Pay: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour | Weekly Pay.
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Overtime based on company needs).
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire.

Position Overview:

Openwork is seeking an experienced Maintenance Multi-Craft Mechanic to support a fast-paced industrial operation. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical and automated equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance including inspection, lubrication, testing, and adjustments.
Diagnose and repair machinery such as welders, slitters, presses, conveyors, hoists, cranes, and forklifts.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Adjust, calibrate, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment.
Inspect motors, belts, drives, and fluid systems; replace filters and components as needed.
Set up and operate plant equipment to support maintenance activities.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures.
Coordinate parts and supplies needed for repairs.

Qualifications:

Required:

3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
High school diploma or GED.

Preferred:

5-7 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
Technical training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).
Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
