Now Hiring: Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler

Location: Northeast Houston, TX.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (depending on experience) | Weekly Pay.
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Employment Type: Full-Time.

Openwork is partnering with a respected industrial company to hire a dependable Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in an active environment.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will support daily operations by receiving, handling, and shipping materials efficiently while maintaining safety and organization across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts and warehouse equipment.
Offload materials received from vendors and ensure proper handling.
Store and organize materials in designated areas.
Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments.
Complete shipping documentation such as bills of lading and packing slips.
Move materials throughout the facility to support operations.
Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safety-focused.
Work outdoors approximately 70% of the time.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Reliable and consistent attendance.
Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.
Forklift experience required, with the ability to safely handle sensitive materials.
Experience offloading and handling vendor shipments.
Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly.
Basic computer skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications:

2 + years of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling.
Proven reliability and strong work history.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
